OUR STORYFounded in 1996 by the late Dave Halpin Sr., Eco Douglas has been a beloved fixture in the heart of Douglas, Cork, for decades. Dave’s vision was simple: to create a warm, welcoming space where people could enjoy great food made with the finest local ingredients. His passion for hospitality and quality transformed Eco into a cornerstone of the community, renowned for its vibrant flavours, exceptional service, and dedication to sustainability.

Dave believed that food should be both innovative and comforting, blending international influences with a deep appreciation for fresh, locally sourced produce. Under his leadership, Eco became more than just a restaurant—it became a gathering place for families, friends, and food lovers alike.
Although Dave sadly passed away in October 2023, his legacy lives on in every dish served at Eco. Today, his commitment to quality and hospitality continues to inspire us, ensuring that his vision of great food and warm service remains at the heart of everything we do.
